“Sleepy Hollow”: Ready for Abbie and Ichabod to Live Together?

Sleepy-Hollow-Season-3-Abbie-Ichabod-Roomies

Sleepy Hollow’s Season 3 premiere is just over 48 hours away, and I know one thing some of the fans had been worried about is if the introduction of Betsy would take away from Abbie and Ichabod’s nebulous partnership/romantic-ish thing. Good news: It seems like Betsy’s not going to be that big of an obstacle for any potential relationship stuff going on this season. Why? Because Ichabod and Abbie are living together.

Exclusive Interview: “EastSiders” Multi-Talent Kit Williamson Talks Season 2

Beware of slight spoilers!

One of the most popular shows on the web, EastSiders, is back with the first three episodes of its second season. All of the characters are back, some guest stars are also joining the mix, and fans will be able to see what happens next in the complicated love lives of these 30-somethings, connected by the human need to feel desired and fulfilled.

I was happy to speak with Kit Williamson, actor, director, producer and writer of EastSiders, and ask him about the second season, the writing challenges, and what (and who) else fans can expect to see.

You can watch the first three episodes right now on Vimeo On Demand. The last three episodes of the season are on their way. If you want to start from the beginning, you can buy the first season; information about where to buy and more on the show is on the EastSiders site.

TV Review: “The Player” Takes The House

Synopsis (NBC):

From the executive producers of “The Blacklist” comes the action-packed Las Vegas-set thriller “The Player.” The series co-stars Wesley Snipes as a pit boss and Charity Wakefield as the dealer for a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on the ability of former military operative turned security expert Philip Winchester (“Strike Back,” “Fringe”) to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out. Can he take them down from the inside and get revenge for the death of his wife, or is it true what they say: The house always wins.

End Embarrassing Racial Debates and Keep Your Friends

Let’s face it: We’re in a very polarized climate in the United States right now.

On the one hand, we have a Hollywood system finally beginning to wake up to the wealth of diversity America has to offer. The result, at least in TV, is one of the most diverse fall TV seasons on record.

On the other hand, we have GOP candidates, candidates who have support in the double digits, that state they’ll humanely round up immigrants and that Muslims shouldn’t even consider running for President. Buttress that against one of the bloodiest summers on record, with a hashtag occurring every week, the corrupt members of the police blaming unarmed black people for their own deaths, and a large quadrant of Americans supporting these particular policemen and blaming the victims for their deaths.

Suffice it to say, with all of these extremes, it’s clear that America is at an impasse. We, as a country, must learn how to talk to each other about race. Unfortunately, many of us don’t know how to talk about race. It gets embarrassing and awkward for everyone.

TV Review: “The Muppets”

The Muppets Pilot

Synopsis (ABC):

The Muppets return to primetime with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series  will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult, new Muppet series, for “kids” of all ages.
