Civil War. A24’s latest feature directed by Alex Garland of 28 Days Later, Ex Machina, and Annihilation fame depicts a grim scenario of America torn apart due to civil war. This is pretty scary due to the 2024 US presidential election coming up next year and what will become of it. But it is a fascinating movie to see how the American condition is being fractured due to in-fighting and political division. Who knows it might become a classic or a ‘mid’ movie like the director’s previous work Men. We’ll wait until the jury is out for this movie when it hits theaters and IMAX spring of 2024.
