I’ve just seen the trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens, and it was amazing!
It’s about to be horror season, and we’re all probably looking for something a bit more unique than just the regular hack/slash scenario. If your version of horror is being scared out of your mind by the psychological, then take a look at the trailer for the Hawaii International Film Festival headliner, Pali Road.
If you regularly read COLOR, then you’ll know that I recently had a Sleepy Hollow Periscope event Friday. The jist of the event consisted of me discussing my views on the first episode as well as some behind-the-scenes stuff that’s really got in my craw over the summer. I didn’t actually mean to discuss that, but when the camera’s on you, you never know what’s going to come out of your mouth.
Did you watch Fuse’s new docu-series, Transcendent? The show, which focuses on the lives of several trans women who work at San Francisco’s popular cabaret club, AsiaSF, premiered Sept. 30 and for the premiere, the women celebrated on the red carpet.
Sleepy Hollow’s Season 3 premiere is just over 48 hours away, and I know one thing some of the fans had been worried about is if the introduction of Betsy would take away from Abbie and Ichabod’s nebulous partnership/romantic-ish thing. Good news: It seems like Betsy’s not going to be that big of an obstacle for any potential relationship stuff going on this season. Why? Because Ichabod and Abbie are living together.
Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift have been in the news recently. I’m sure if you’ve been on Twitter within the last four days, you’ve heard about Nicki Minaj taking the VMAs to task for not nominating “Anaconda” for Music Video of the Year. If not, here’s the quick rundown:
Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to address her annoyance at MTV for not nominating her music video for “Anaconda” for Music Video of the Year, while nominating other music videos, which contained slim white women, chief among them being Taylor Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood,” which is full of her supermodel and actress friends.
The Hunger Games and Sleepy Hollow star Amandla Stenberg is this week’s WOC Wednesday honoree because she laid down the gauntlet on those guilty of appropriating at the expense of the lives of black people.
Yes, I know there is a big glaring issue about Sleepy Hollow episode “Kali Yuga”— the non-Indian woman playing an Indian creature— but dare I say that this episode actually looks fun? Even more daring, may I say that this episode actually looks like a throwback to an S1 or even early S2 episode? And this is a Hawley episode I’m saying this about!
