If you regularly read COLOR, then you’ll know that I recently had a Sleepy Hollow Periscope event Friday. The jist of the event consisted of me discussing my views on the first episode as well as some behind-the-scenes stuff that’s really got in my craw over the summer. I didn’t actually mean to discuss that, but when the camera’s on you, you never know what’s going to come out of your mouth.
FOX’s Minority Report is a show I’ve been on the fence about for a while. Almost as much as Rosewood, but I’ve officially decided that I don’t like that show. What’s got me scared about Minority Report is that I like the show and I want to see where it’s headed, but I don’t know how patient FOX is going to be.
Empire‘s latest episode, “Without a Country,” left me with some thoughts, thoughts that you probably shared as you watched and live-tweeted. The main thought being that Jamal probably doesn’t know how to run a company.
If you loved the premiere, come talk about it with me on Periscope (@moniqueblognet) today, Oct. 2, at 5 pm CT!
Sleepy Hollow is back! WHOO! And by “back,” I really mean that it’s back with a Season 1 vengeance! Thank you, Season 3 opener, “I Witness”!
Sleepy Hollow’s Season 3 premiere is just over 48 hours away, and I know one thing some of the fans had been worried about is if the introduction of Betsy would take away from Abbie and Ichabod’s nebulous partnership/romantic-ish thing. Good news: It seems like Betsy’s not going to be that big of an obstacle for any potential relationship stuff going on this season. Why? Because Ichabod and Abbie are living together.
After a long summer hiatus, including a discussion with a writer/producer, analyzing Betsy Ross, and plenty of other fandom moments, counting down to the beginning of the third season of Sleepy Hollow! To celebrate, not only will I live-tweet the Thursday premiere, but I’ll also host my very first Periscope ever! You are all invited to attend.
Empire is just as crazy as we remember it, if not crazier. I don’t know how the writers managed to top themselves from last season, but they did.
Empire’s season two premiere left me for a loop! It’s currently in my rewatch queue so I can finally get my recap up on the site (I’m sure you’re wondering what I thought about Cookie being in an ape suit in a cage, why Anika was inexplicably called “Anita,” and “Anita’s” subsequent twerk-session with Mimi.) But until then, I’ve got something special! A quiz! If you’ve wanted to see who you’ be if you were an artist signed to Empire Records, here’s your chance.
What a week of TV it’s been! I’d have to say this has been one of the most jam-packed weeks of well-written event TV I’ve seen! And the week’s not even over yet, since we’ve got Indian Summers on PBS and Quantico on ABC this Sunday! (Technically, these shows are starting the new week off, but I grew up with weeks starting on Monday.) But just when you thought it was time to slow down, the fall TV schedule is about to get even more packed with one of my favorite shows to watch and report on, SLEEPY HOLLOW!
