I’ve been following Avan Jogia’s career for a while, ever since he starred on ABC Family’s Twisted. Between that and Victorious, I’ve routinely heard how his talent superseded the material he was given. To me, it seems like TUT will be the acting challenge he’s been hoping for.
Alexander Karim consistently presents many of Tyrant‘s shining moments. Mainly, it’s because Ihab Rashid is one of the most consistent and relatable characters.
Chiwetel Ejiofor needs to be honored for his vast acting skills, from Kinky Boots to 12 Years A Slave, as well as his social consciousness and good-looking-ness (I know that’s not a word). But I have to say that this MOC Monday was spawned from my own embarrassment, which you can follow on Twitter. To keep it short, I know the difference between David Oyelowo and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Who doesn’t love Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? He just makes every film, including his most recent film, San Andreas, seem fun. He really does exhibit the dream of being a movie star.
Game of Thrones is still making people highly uncomfortable and, to be frank, angry. It’s gotten so bad that now, what with the amount of “rape as character development” the show tends to engage in, with Sansa Stark being the latest victim, The Mary Sue has decided to withdraw their support of the show.
I have never been a fan of Game of Thrones; I couldn’t get past the first episode for many reasons, chief of which being the horror at seeing two siblings have rough sex with each other. But despite all of the horrors of the show (so much so that I can’t even get into it as much as everyone else seems to), I do know there are some fan favorite characters, such as Tyrion Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, and Khal Drogo, played by Jason Momoa.*
This week’s MOC Monday is Randall Park! Thank goodness we’ll be able to see him again now that we know Fresh Off the Boat is coming back! WHOO! More on this and other TV news later. (I have a lot of catching up to do because I’ve been on the move.)
Jamie Camil is this week’s MOC Monday honoree. Of course, Camil is otherwise known as Rogelio De La Vega, the narcissistic telenovela star with a lush bank account a heart of gold.
Why am I featuring these two today? Because they’re both in some big movies!
I have been a huge fan of RuPaul ever since I saw him on his own TV talk show, The RuPaul Show.
